A Note to Anonymous Posters

I am very frustrated after reading a persons rude comments on one of my videos. This blog is for people who are here to celebrate my family. It is intended as a way to follow our families journey to our daughter in China. It is not meant to be a place for invasive rude people to pilfer through my site so that they can insult my family. What gets me more than anything is all of the anonymous posters who post rude messages on peoples blogs in a cowardly way without being willing to leave their names. Shame on all of you who go onto peoples blogs which they are proud of that are formatted in a way that is conducive to their family and then cowardly slam them. You all should be ashamed of yourselves.

My blog is for those who would like to uplift our family during this journey. It is NOT for those who would like to post rude comments and insult my family. Those who do not like the way I do thing please do not post on my site. If you do not like the way I do things then you are politely asked to never come back on my blog-- you are not welcome. My blog is for people who celebrate my family- not criticize them.

To all of you who are supportive and wonderful--- THANKS SO MUCH!!!! You are the reason I keep my blog public and not restrict access (like people I am referring to make me want to do). You guys have supported me through some of the most difficult times in my life and I thank you for that. Please continue to follow our journey as we leave tomorrow.

Thanks for listening,

Christy :)

  1. Oh my gosh Chris! Can't believe someone posted something rude again!!! I just don't get it - that is just so uncalled for. Why do people bother being mean on someone's personal blog and try to put a damper on their happiness???

For those of you who don't know Christy and her family personally, I can tell you that they are a fun loving and happy family. They are not "formal" in the sense of lots of traditional rules, but they are by no means inappropriate. Their extended family is also an absolute joy to be around! The anonymous poster certainly missed that in the small video clip that was shown. Ethan and Owen are beautiful, sweet, well-behaved kids - it makes me angry hearing someone who knows so very little about them being rude like that:(

  4. So sorry you've had to endure that Christy. I find most of my rude/unwanted comments come via posts with videos. Seems people find the video then post inappropriate comments on my blog.

I'm happy to have the delete comment button available to me and not afraid to use it! It sure does bug me though. People can be so rude!

Another help I've found is to put on word verification. Rude/unwanted comments greatly reduced once I added that.

Let's think of better times...you're on your way to Mia!!! Yeah! Looking forward to following your journey.

  9. Apparently, "anonymous" has never had family fun at their house! Keep on posting! I love for kids to be "normal" Making Memories is what it is all about!
