This Week or Next???

So, I cling to the hope that we will receive our referral this week but unfortunately, it appears that may not be the case. According to my lifeline, Rumor Queen, it appears that many peoples agencies are saying that we probably will not hear anything until next week. I really hope it will be this week and I still have hope for that, but I may just have to hold tight for one more week. Hay, I figure what is one more week to wait since I have already waited approx 70 weeks since LID. I guess I can wait one more week to see the most precious baby girl in the world-- MY MIA!!!

I sit here and I wonder what she will look like? Will she be funny looking? Will she be cute? Will she have a full head of hair or will she be bald? What province will she come from and will she be in an orphanage or foster care? Will she be friendly or shy? There are so many questions and the thought that I will have answers to my questions within a week or so-- it is just unreal!!!

So, to all of us who are next-- WE ARE WITHIN A WEEK OR SO OF SEEING OUR BABY'S FACES FOR THE FIRST TIME!!!! CRAZY!!!!!

Here is to a quick week or so!

A Baby Goat

We had dinner at my brother and sister in laws house on Saturday night and Amy, my sister in law runs AMYS FARM TOURS http://www.amysfarm.com/, a field trip place for schools to talk kids. It is an amazing experience complete with a petting area of all the animals as well a garden and the kids get to feed the baby cows a bottle (it is actually a working calf ranch where they raise baby cows for local dairy's). Well, one of the goats had a baby and the mom rejected it so Amy brought the baby goat home with them and is bottle feeding it. It is such a cute little goat and just walks around their house like their dogs.

I told Amy I was going to post the goats picture on my blog and she asked people to give suggestions for names. Anyone got any names for our little goat? Let me know in the comments section.

ALREADY ADDICTED!!!!

OK, I am already addicted to blogging. I am finding so many fun things to add to my blog. I added a poll thanks to Steph who had a poll on her blog so I stole her idea. I added the visitors countries thanks to someone on my DTC group. I want to add more but I don't know when I will stop. This is just so much fun and my DH is just laughing at me. I asked him what poll I should put on my blog and he said to make a poll asking if people think my wife crazy. He just thinks it is funny but he likes looking at the blog also -- so there!!

By the way, does anyone know how to put video on your blog? Also, anyone know how to add music to your blog? Any info would be appreciated.

When Oh When Will Our Little One Come???

After posting the picture of the boys at Christmas with the little Asian girl I started to think about when referrals will come. My all time favorite person of royalty is the RUMOR QUEEN herself. She is an adoptive mother who puts all the China adoption rumors together in one place and shares the rumors with us adoptive families. There have not been many rumors out there but there have been a few that are worth mentioning.

First of all, WE ARE NEXT!!!!! The last batch only covered to 10-13-05 and we are 10-17-05. Basically that means that no matter what, we should receive our referral for Mia in the next batch. When will this batch come??? GREAT QUESTION!!! I HAVE NO IDEA! At this point there are some agencies saying they may be mailed next week so there is a chance that we may get to see Mia's face for the first time next week. Most agencies are saying that the referrals will arrive the week after next. So, basically, no matter what, we should see Mia's face within 2 weeks. That seems so close and I can hardly wait!!

So, what happens after we get our referral? After we accept our referral we will travel to pick Mia up about 4 to 6 weeks later. So, we should be in China in about 8 to 10 weeks picking Mia up. YAAAA!!!! I cant wait to get her picture and her size so I can start the shopping spree! I LOVE CLOTHES and dressing my boys was fun but nothing like dressing a girl. My best friend has a one year old girl, Ava, and Mia will inherit all her ADORABLE clothes (luckily Laila, her mom, has great taste so Mia will inherit some REALLY NICE CLOTHES). But I still want to buy Mia all those adorable spring dresses that are out there now--- so come on referrals--- I need to start shopping!

Anyway, just a thought I wanted to post. I think I will post some pictures of Mia's room tomorrow. I am finally going to put the pictures on the walls. I'm not sure why I have not up until now since her basic room has been done since December 2005, but I think I am ready to commit to hanging the wall stuff tomorrow. I will take pictures of the final product :)

Look! As if Mia was here already!

OK, as we get close to referral time I am starting to get nostalgic. I was looking through pictures and I found this one of the boys at Disneyland this past Christmas. I was looking at the boys and all of a sudden I looked at the little girl in the left corner. It's a little Asian girl and I never even noticed she was in the picture. How adorable is that. It is as if Mia is in the picture. I just thought this was cute so I had to post it.

This is the Family Pre- Mia

This is a picture of our family during our Thanksgiving break. We were at Lake Isabella in the south end of the Sierra's. It was a lot of fun.

This is Kevin and I in Cancun this past summer. It was our first big family trip with the boys. We love Cancun and plan to go back with Mia.

Funny Story. We have season passes to Disneyland and Mulan was there and I thought how cool it would be to get a picture with her to show Mia someday. I thought it was an easy request but the boys objected and would not take a pictue with Mulan. Mulan ended up chasing the boys down the street trying to get a picture. Finally the boys gave in (with me forcing the issue) and here is our picture. Just turn your head to the side :)

This is a pictue of the boys in Cancun. They had such a good time. Arnt they just the cutest things in the world? Well, I think so.

These are our wonderful dogs Max (white lab) and Sadie (chocolare Lab). They are great dogs and we love them to death.

So this is our family before we bring home our wonderful daughter/ sister. This picture was what we used for our Christmas picture this year and I must admit it is not a great picture but it worked. Kevin and I have been married for almost 13 years and we have our two wonderful boys Ethan and Owen and two lab's, Max (white lab) and Sadie (chocolate lab). Ethan is 8 and is in the 3rd grade. Owen is 6 and is in the 1st grade. They are great kids and are just jumping out of their skin to get their sister home. Kevin is a motor police officer (rides a motorcycle) and I work as a school psychologist 2 days a week. We live in Rancho Cucamonga, CA which is in Southern California about 40 miles east of LA. We are an active family and enjoy camping, riding quads, snowboarding and tons more. We also love our church family, Pomona First Baptist, where Kevin and I met when we were 16 years old in the youth group. We were married in the church and are still there today. We love our church home. We also have wonderful family and friends that have been so amazingly supportive throughout this adoption. We so look forward to bringing our daughter home.

I think I just made a blog

Today is February 20, 2007 and I think I just made a blog. I have been wanting a place just to write that I can do at anytime so here it is. I am going to try to add some pics but not sure how to at this point. I also have another site which is http://www.bock.redthreadkids.org/. This site has a ton of pics of our family so you can go to visit anytime. I think I will use this blog as a place for just the adoption stuff. I will add pictures of Mia's referral when it comes as well as all the cool stuff we get her. I will also post pics of our family so everyone knows who we are, but I will make this blog more of a place for my thoughts. So, here it is and I hope it all works.
