* Update-- Yep-- woke up feeling like crap. Had to get my hair done but Kev and Owen were home sick. I took Mia with me and she seems fine. Came home from getting my hair done and just collapsed into bed and slept till 8pm-- gonna go back to bed soon. I also realized when I woke that the area rug In our family room was missing and that I had a moaning eldest child on the couch. Well, while I slept my healthy son suddenly caught whatever we all have and puked all over the family room carpet and has to date puked about 5 times-- poor little guy. So Mia is the only healthy one in our family at this point. Hopefully Owen will feel better enough to go back to school tomorrow but that is still up in the air. So, thanks for all your comments-- I will post pics soon but just can fathom sitting here and doing that now-- just want to sleep. Got pics of Mia getting her hair cut today as well so I will post soon. Oh ya, and by the way, when I get the flu I always still have an appetite so I am one of those people who never puke and never lose any weight. Well, this time there is a bit of satisfaction in knowing that food has not been too interesting (haven't puked but stomach cramping) so maybe the bonus out of this sickness will be a pound or two lost-- gotta look at the bright side of this living hell :)
I woke up this morning in Dumont to a clear beautiful 80 degree day after a night of Mia screaming and Owen dry heaving. I also woke up to a husband who had stomach cramps and was shivering under our 3 layers of covers. Needless to say, over that difficult night, our family had been given the wonderful gift of the FLU!! As the day progressed I saw that Mia was fine-- just cranky but Owen and Kevin were not well at all. We waited until Kevin was OK to drive and then made the 2.5 hour drive home. As we were driving home I started to feel my stomach cramp and small signs of aches and pains which I chose to ignore completely unwilling to accept the fact that both adults in the same home are sick with the flu-- but alas, I think it is the case. Kevin pulled our motor home and the trailer up to our house, got out, walked upstairs and has been there ever since. I unloaded most things with Cassie's help (she happened to be at our house--thank GOD) and then realized how bad I actually felt. At the present time I am putting kids in bed and praying that if I go to bed that the flu will somehow skip me-- Oh I pray I am that lucky but as of now I am not feeling too hot. Anyway, if I'm feeling better in the morning I will post some Dumont pics-- of not-- I will lay in bed like a dead fish attempting to somehow take care of my husband, 8 year old and my crazy fussy 2 year old (Ethan still seems fine). So, I will hopefully post tomorrow-- Sleep well :)
Oh ya, I thought I would mention that there are no major fires burning very close to us. I think the closest is the one in Corona and it is about 20 mile plus away-- so we are fine but pray for Southern California right now. It is not a good place to be-- scorching temps-- crazy wind-- psycho people setting fires-- it is not looking good.
