Busy Weekend!!

This has been a busy weekend but it does not hold a candle to what we are going to have to do next weekend-- Ill tell you more about that this week. We started the weekend off with the City of Claremont Christmas Tree lighting ceremony. We met Kevin's parents and Chuck and Susan there and watched the festivities while drinking hot chocolate. After the ceremonty we walked around a bit and then had dinner at Bucca Di Beppo's. While we were shopping around we went into a bike shop that the boys were begging to go into and Mia ended up loving the bikes just as much as her big brothers.

She spotted the one she liked

And on she goes

Riding like the cool cat she is!!

Oh ya-- this is all me!!

The next day we had two events. Mary (mother in law) invited Lynsee (sister in law) and I to go to a luncheon at a nice hotel that was put on through the woman's ministry at their church. It was a wonderful time and the speaker was amazing. She made me cry many times as she explained the tragedies of her life and how God pulled her through. It was truly inspirational!

This is Mary, Lynsee and I in front of the Christmas tree in the hotel lobby.

Saturday night we celebrated my moms birthday with our annual trip to the Mission Inn eating at our favorite fine dining restaurant Duane's.
It is a wonderful dinner that we take our time and relax and enjoy each course. Dinner literally takes 3 + hours and we got there early to sit in the bar and relax. The Mission Inn is a historic Inn and it is just beautiful!! They decorate every nook and cranny for Christmas and it draws a huge crowd. We really had a blast celebrating my moms birthday!!
"The Men" in the bar before we were sat.

Brad and Amy

Mom and I (Cass was there too but she was out looking at the lights while we were in the bar)

One of our favorite things at Duane's is that they have carolers that sing choral music while you eat. We always find this to be a fun challenge for the singers as Brad, Cass and I all were in a big time Choral group in high school and know tons of choral music. We had them sing unusual songs like Fum Fum Fum and many others. We keep them busy but tip them well-- love that part of the night!!!

This morning for at Church the grade school kids were performing . Here are a few pics of the performance.

Owen and Christian in the second row (Owen has on an orange sweat shirt- that he was supposed to take off-- ugg) and Ethan is in the top right in a red stripe shirt.

Ethan-- These were taken while they were first lining up and the worship music was still going on-- hence the girl singing behind Ethan.
Next weekend as well as this week is crazy!!! Ethan is in our Church's Come Celebrate Christmas performance as a wise man robe keeper. Basically he trails behind the wise man holding the train to their robes. It is kind of cool that he is in the performance and he is excited. There is a performance on Friday night, 2 on Saturday and one on Sunday plus we have 2 dress rehearsals during the week-- gonna be busy. Plus, I have to work an extra day this week to do extra assessments for another school district and the boys are still (for some strange reason) in soccer. Friday night we have a Christmas party and Saturday night we have a Christmas party all at the same time as Ethan's performances at the church. How we are going to do all that--I have no idea-- I just know grandparents helping is a huge component!!
Anyway, crazy week and it will be Mia's first day in child care so I will let you know how that goes. If I am not posting as much or am not commenting on blogs as much please forgive me-- I am just swamped this week but I will try!
Have a great week!!!
