Gingerbread Houses

Sorry but I guess I posted all the pictures this morning and for some reason no one could see them-- except for me on my computer. Here they are-- finally!
When we celebrated the Bock family Thanksgiving at our house Mary brought Gingerbread Houses for each family to make. This has become a bit of a tradition and the kids totally love it. We have our house on the counter in the kitchen but Mia keeps picking off all the candy and is melting the frosting because she keeps licking it. Anyway, it was a lot of fun!

Mia loves to take a dish towel and cover the dogs like they are babies. I caught her doing it with poor Sadie-- man are my dogs tolerant.
Mia has also picked up a lovely habit-- picking her nose and then -- you know-- eating it-- yuck!!! I am trying to train this out of her- gross!!!

Greg and Lynsee making their house with Kaitlyn and Kylie. Cassie helped the boys (Cassie is not a Bock but she likes to come to the Bock events-- she is an adopted Bock :) Don and Mary helped as well and saved our house from completely falling down by reinforcing it with some thick frosting.

Mia loved the frosting and got it all over her-- lots of good sweet fun!!!!

Please keep praying for little Hannah. You can check on her progress here.

Hannah is in our prayers. What ever happened to the two people who got lost in the mountains...did they ever find them?

  3. Looks like fun!! I love the pictures of Mia with the icing....the best part is always the icing!!

I just wanted to thank you for your comment on my recent post....what you described is pretty much word for word what was written in Nick's evaluation when we had it done two years ago. He has learned to rely heavily on his Auditory skills and that is how he learns and retains things. If he is forced to learn solely by reading, he cannot absorb it. I wish you lived closer to us.....we had been working with a specialist in this area, but she recently was diagnosed with Ovarian Cancer and has stopped working.

Again, thanks for sharing your story and your knowledge in this field....in means a lot!!

    Have a great day!
