Mia's Update!!!

Here is our Little Girl!!!
I just got an email from my agency with updated info on Mia. She is so cute and I cannot believe how much she has grown. She does not look like she is going to be as tiny as we thought but often when you get to China to pick your baby up, they are a lot smaller (so I have heard).

Here is her new update info:

Weight: 7 kg (15.4 lb)
Height: 65 cm (25.6 in)
Head Circumference: 42 cm (16.5 in)
Chest Circumference: 41 cm (16.1 in)
Foot Length: 9 cm (3.5 in)
no teeth

Laila and I checked out her percentiles on the American Charts and if these are recent measurements, then she is around the 50th percentile on the American Charts-- WOW!!! Now I just want to get to China and bring her home--- COME ON TA's!!!!

Thanks again for all of you who have been following my blog. Your comments and support mean so much to our family!!!

Thanks again.

Christy :)

  3. Well, if she has been in foster care then she is probably healthier than if she spent all her time in the SWI. Therefore, it is plausible that she is a little heavier than the babies not in foster care. This is good, though.

We thought Caroline was going to be big too, but in reality she was only 19 lbs at 1 year. She was also delayed and was more like a 6 month old. She was in a SWI and not in foster care. She caught up very quickly, however and within about 4-6 months home was completely caught up.

  4. Mia is such a cutie!! Can't wait to see those Gotcha Day photos. Can you believe we both finally got our referrals and soon will hold our daughters. It's been a long, bumpy road, but I can see the rainbow up ahead.

  7. Christy,

This update picture of Mis is so cute. She might really be that size. Kate is really big (21 lbs) and they were pretty much correct on her paperwork. She was in foster care and was very healthy and pretty on track developmentally too. I am so excited for you. I cannot describe the joy Kate has brought me in the 3 weeks we have had her.

  8. I love the updated photo of Mia. She is soooooo adorable!

It is kind of hard to tell how big she is as the foster parents have her pretty well bundled up (like all good Chinese parents do!). I would venture that the weight is with clothes on, so maybe subtract about 1lb and you will have a good estimate.

    She appears alert and healthy.

Now for that the TA to show up so you can do what you really want to do, go get Mia!!! :-)

We can't wait to meet her and Allie can't wait to babysit her hopefully sometime soon. Let us know when you get home and adjusted back into life so we can meet her.
