Some Random Things

I have still been going crazy at work. Ever since I gave birth to Ethan I have worked 2 days a week. 2 days has always been perfect-- a nice combo of a little bit of work and a lot of being a mommy. I have always said I would not want to work more than that but sadly, I have had to increase recently. We have a psychologist in our district out for a medical leave and us part time psychs have had to pick up the slack (luckily we get paid extra for picking up the slack). I have had to increase my schedule to 3 days a week due to the psych being out and another part time psych also picked up one day. Well, on Monday the other psych said that she no longer could handle the stress of the additional work and my boss looked at me and said Christy, could you please take care of this. We need the money but I desperately do not want to add another day, but they desperately need my help-- only for 8 weeks. Anyway, I'm going to have to help out and
I am soooo sad about it but I'm hoping a family member can take Mia the extra day so she is still only going to preschool 2 days a week and with family the other days. Needless to say, I am going crazy with my normal work (now increased to double my normal days), my side work with the other school district and my new business (which by the way I am 100% done with the first case-- report to judge and all-- yaaa!!). Anyway, I am trying to juggle it all and the one thing that is suffering is my blogging. I have hardly been able to check blogs at all or even blog on my own. I'm so sorry but here are some pictures of just random stuff that has happened over the last week.

The boys had their final hockey game last week. It was absolutely a joy to watch them play. They are both amazing players and really carried the whole team. They actually are forcing Ethan to move up to the next league which is for kids 12 to 16 (Ethan is only 10) because he is so good. The boys were awesome and just dominated. Ethan's final goal count was 57 goals and Owens was 42 goals--yaaaa!!! (Sorry, I had to brag a bit)

The coach bought the team pizza

After the games the boys heads are just soaking wet with sweat-- gross!! It is such a physical and active sport- always on the go.

One boy had broken his arm a few weeks into the season. He continued to come to all the games and the boys treated him like a team member-- as he was. Here they are signing his cast.

My Owen with his crazy spiky sweat laden hair.

This weekend Mia and I went to Toys R Us to get her a Story Reader (a electronic toy thing that reads stories out loud-- Mia loves it) and a potty since it appears Mia is probably ready to start the training. Here she is sitting on her froggy potty (thanks for the heads up Tanya)

Getting the hang of it

Big smiles.
I have other pictures I totally need to post and will do so ASAP. Sorry for not commenting on all your blogs-- I miss you all!!

  1. At least you know after 8 weeks everything will go back to normal....just get through these next two months...and you should have your life back again:)

WOW...you have two future hockey players on your hands.....I don't know that much about the sport, but that sounds like A LOT of goals for one child to make in a season...you have every right to brag!

Hope that you all have a wonderful Easter Holiday!

  2. What a bummer that you have to work double the amount than you are used to. :( Hopefully the weeks will go by quickly. Also hope you can make it Friday!

Mia and the boys are adorable as usual. The story reader sounds cool, might have to look into getting Gracie one. :)

  3. Wow, you ARE super busy! I hope you make it through the next few months as stress free as possible!

The pictures are great - your Owen has such beautiful eyes. I think its cool your kids have found a sport at which they excel. I hope my boys find one.

I love the pictures of Mia - especially the last one! I feel Lily is ready for potty training too, but don't know when to do it since I have to wake her up from her nap almost every day to get Dylan from school. I don't want to wake her up even earlier to get her on teh potty! I'm hoping when the weather is better it will be easier (less clothes).
