Ethan had his first Junior High Dance last week and it was a new and great experience. He had a blast with a bunch of his boy pals and he looked handsome as can be in his cool dress up outfit. We met 3 of his great pals at one of their houses and took pictures then the limo took them to the dance. This dance was totally a big deal at their school!!! We love their school for all these cool things and extracurricular things they get to do. Not only does Owen get to take a field trip every month but the Junior Highers get to learn Swing Dancing in PE and practice it at the dance. We love UCA!!!!

More Easter
More Easter for your viewing pleasure!!! My brother and sister in law have a farm that they do farm tours for schools and they also have a CSA farming program where the community helps with the farming and they get fresh produce-- awesome place-- check it out at www.amysfarm.com. Anyway, they do a big egg hunt every year and these first pictures are from the hunt.
Our Lucky Mommies group had an Easter party at Gracie's house this year. It was a great time full of playing, a hunt and food!! It was a blast and we so appreciated Tanya for throwing a great party!
Lots more pictures to post over the next few days. We have Ethan's first school dance and Disneyland yesterday. We are also heading to Arrowhead today and were going to snowboard tomorrow so I should have some good pictures from that too.
Have a great weekend.

April 6, 2007- Mia's Referral Day!!!
Three years ago today I received a phone call from our China coordinator that we had received our referral for our beautiful little girl. She was only 5 months old on that day and we immediately fell in love with her! It was a long road to get the referral for Mia. Our file had been lost the month before and we were skipped. That month was hard to get through, but knowing we would one day see our little girls face got us through. Our agency worked VERY hard to find our file and get it where it needed to be in order to get us our referral the next month and thank the LORD they made Magic happen and on April 6, 2007, we saw our little girl! I know some people don't believe in the whole "meant to be" philosophy, but I can tell you that God moved time in order to bring us our little girl. She was meant to be a part of our family from day one and God did some amazing things in order to get us our referral in the month of April. If we would have got our referral in March (like we were supposed to) we never would have received Mia. We were skipped on March 5, 2007 and March 6, 2007- the day after we were skipped- Mia's file was processed for International Adoption. She was not even available for adoption until the day after we were skipped and traditionally in international adoptions the babies are not supposed to be available to be adopted until the are 6 months old but Mia became available and was processed when she was only 4 months old. Totally crazy. Believe in "meant to be" or not, but I know supernatural things happened in order to place Mia in our family!!! AMAZING!!!
I look at these referral pictures and I really don't see Mia in them. I think she has changed so much and looks so different now. WOW!! My beautiful little girl!!!

Happy Easter and Happy Birthday Honey!!!!
Easter was a lot of fun. Besides being Easter, it is Kevin's birthday!!! Cool day!! Anyway, we started our Easter traditions last night with our nice time at home alone reflecting on the reason we celebrate and the sacrifice Jesus made for us. We decided that this was the year we would show the boys THE PASSION OF THE CHRIST which is a very hard movie to watch for an adult let alone a tween. We decided they were ready and both have grown so much spiritually this year that we wanted them to see in a very visual way the sacrifice Jesus made for us. It was a powerful movie and both boys were very moved but I am thrilled we showed it to them. It brought Easter to a new level for them and I am thankful they have those images to pull from.
The kids woke up to their Easter baskets. We don't really do the Easter bunny and Mia doesn't really know about it, but we do Easter baskets but rather focus on Jesus rather than Bunnies.
